The things which make life fun and a holiday enjoyable – good restaurants, resort facilities and services, as well as practical considerations such as airport proximity and airline services, will be included in our evaluation.  The old saying of Location! Location! Location! applies throughout the world.   Recently emerged markets such as Turkey, the Dominican Republic and Grenada also feature alongside traditional, time honoured places such as Italy, France, Portugal, Cyprus, Spain, Florida and the major islands of the Caribbean.  Despite the 2008/2009 credit crunch many people still love these destinations and aspire to own a property and the good news is that there are some great properties to buy at very reduced prices.     Much nearer to home, the UK market, especially inner London, is becoming very popular with investors. Across the channel, the Channel Islands, Guernsey and Jersey, are receiving attention from  companies and individuals alike, particularly with the tax regime in the UK under such scrutiny. Everybody has a different agenda when buying property.  Where to buy and what?  Traditional or emerging market?     Euro or sterling based currency?  Is it for own use or to rent out?   What are the rental returns?   How easy is it to rent, to get cleaned and get a burst pipe fixed?
