What comes to mind when you think of France?
The largest country in Western Europe? Fine foods and wines? Romance and Paris? Wars,
many with their English enemies the other side of the Channel!
As you are looking at a property website, the chances are that it might be because you feel that
France is a good place to buy property – closer to home than the Caribbean, a known entity that
sits well with the current ‘flight to quality’ in the property markets.
But where to buy in France? Brittany in the north, with the English channel coastline sweeping
around to the Atlantic Ocean – temperatures similar to the south coast of England but prices
comparable to northern UK but with a more laid back lifestyle. Central France – the wine
valleys of the Loire, the Dordogne and Bordeaux, and the lovely resort of Biarritz. Across the
Pyrenees to the south Languedoc and the luscious green area of Perpignan, travelling around to
Marseille and Provence. The sun, the Mediterrean Sea and glamour of Nice and Cannes, up
through the Alps – Mont Blanc is the highest peak in the whole of Europe where you’ll find the
Three Valleys and Porte du Soleil skiing areas.
So French…………. so diverse!
